Epson 8350 vs 3020 Projector

by Jane on December 5, 2014

If you are interested in buying one of these Epson PowerLite Home Cinema models, if you have done your research then you should already know which projector wins in a Epson 8350 vs 3020 projector showdown. But do you know? That is the question!

If you don’t already know then it’s probably worth your time to at least scan this review for an answer before you go spend $900 to $1250 of your hard earned dollars.

You need a quick answer on which is best

Based solely on features the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 3020 (At Amazon) is the hands down winner when compared to the 8350 model (See price and reviews at Amazon). While both are 1080p HD projectors and both include Epson’s patented 3LCD 3-chip technology for enhanced images and life-like color display, the 3020 model has more features and provides an overall higher level of performance.

Base on Features the Epson 3020 is the Better Projector

If anyone tries telling you the Epson PowerLite 8350 model is the better of the two they are simply wrong. Both these models are part of the Epson PowerLite home cinema line of projectors. They have the same basic build and design. They have the same basic features the 3020 has same features as the 8350 and more.

Since these two home cinema projectors have already been reviewed in depth separately on our site, we don’t feel the need to repeat ourselves. If you would like to read the reviews:

Find more information on the Epson 3020 and 8350. We give both very high ratings. What we think is the mine thing you need to take into consideration is the price. Are the extra features provided by the 3020 model worth the extra $400 you will pay?

What we will say for the 8530 projector

If you want the best based on features then we already told you which model is the best (see above). However, what about price when it comes to the Epson 8350 vs 3020?

Price, is usually very important to most every consumer. Even more important when you don’t have the money to spend. Neither of these home cinema projectors could be called inexpensive or cheap but there is about a $400 price difference between the 8350 and the 3020.

Both these models are 1080p HD resolution home theater projectors and both have received high ratings from current owners and from projector review sites across the web alike.

If you want and can afford the more expensive model which provides more features, great!!! But if you are looking to spend less for the same picture quality and can do without the extra feature then the less expensive Epson 8350 might be the best option for you.

Both of these projectors use LCD technology?

Yes, these both have the 3-chip LCD technology. I believe all Epson projectors now use LCD. This is why Epson is one of our favorite projector companies to buy from. The LCD provides great colors and color brightness compared to DLP technology. We highly recommend look at what Epson has available in your price range.
