1080p resolution. If you are looking for a budget home movie high definition 1080p resolution projection in 2016 this Optoma model should be one you add to you list to compare to other choices. (see here for more information).

DLP Technology. The main pertains to how the colors are displayed. The two main technologies existing today (2016) are DLP and LCD (learn the differences).

23,000:1 Contrast Ratio. What is contrast applied to projectors? This is how much darker the darkest colors will appear compared to the lightest colors. Take “black and white” for this projector this means black will appear 23,ooo times darker than white on screen. The contrast ratio 23,000:1 is very good especially at this price range.

Lens adjustment. Comes with keystone correction but not lens shift.

Screen size. Capable of producing a 66-inch screen image from 8 feet away and 107-inch image from 12-feet away. This model is capable of producing up to a 300-inch diagonal screen image.

How bright? It is rated at 3000 ANSI Lumens. Very good brightness compared to other projectors in its price range in 2016.
