The Biggest Problem with the RIF6 Projector

Overall, we think the RIF6 Cube Projector is a great buy for the price ($269). Of course, it’s not perfect but we have yet to find perfection in any product. Whether it be projectors, cars, shoes, boats, cameras, or lollipops etc, etc…

Certain limitations or flaws pointed out by an unhappy customer, realistic or not, will always exist. In everything…

Problems RIF6 Cube ProjectorThe best option for each individual is to buy a product that will best server their individual needs.

Ever since the RIF6 Cube projector hit the market in early 2015 this mini portable model has seen and explosion in popularity and has received outstanding reviews and rating from customers.

To be happy, understand what you’re buying

What’s the biggest problem or complaint on the RIF6 Cube? Many people before buying, question it’s brightness.

OK, we will tell you right now, this projector wasn’t made to use in a room with the lights on. You got to know what you are buying. If you’re looking for a projector that will work with room lights turned on then this is not the right choice for you.

But we are also not aware of any current mini projector model in 2015 which has such a great level of brightness to work well in a room with the lights on.

If you need a model to function in a bright room a mini projector probably isn’t the best choice for you.

Know what you are buying

What’s the biggest complaint about the RIF6? Audio, the built in speakers. You will not be satisfied with the volume level of the built in speakers.

But this is probably the most common complaints about all projectors. Whether it’s a $300 or a $1000 projector, the volume level is always a very common compliant.

But is there a solution? Yes, just like the more expensive projectors there’s an audio jack that allows the user to customize the sound with an external source.

Back to Brightness

This projector is made to watch movies, for gaming and even for presentations in a dimly lite or dark room. It’s not meant to be used in a well lite room.

When a person understands this then they can better decide if this will meet their intended use. The better off they will be in making their decision to buy or not. Read our review of the RIF6 Cube Projector.

Hi, we were looking for a small portable projector for outdoor use. We wanted something with enough brightness where we could use during the day. Does the Rif6 have enough brightness power to be used outdoors during the daylight hours?

HI Susan, while the Rif6 would make a nice small projector to use outside, we would not recommend this projector for use in bright environments. It should provide a decent screen image at dusk and night time we just don’t think its bright enough to be used during the middle of the day when the sun is at its brightest.

Hi, I was looking to buy one of these for my son’s first apartment. He has converted the 2nd bedroom into a “game room”. My concern is the product overheating. How long can you use it at one time?

The instructions that come with the Cube are totally inadequate. I can’t even figure out how to plug it in to run it on power from the wall rather than the battery. 4 cables come with it, but no diagrams are supplied showing which cable plugs into what.

Not sure what you might be doing but I didn’t have a problem. The address above may help you with how to plug it into the wall or to external devices.
